The Finnish company received an order from KKBK for the supply of the Valmet IQ system, which controls the moisture and temperature parameters of the cardboard and allows to reduce warpage.
“We aim to continuously improve the quality of our products and printing, which directly depends on the quality of corrugated blanks, namely, the absence of warpage,” says Andrey Rebro, deputy director of the KKBK corrugated packaging plant.
– This affects the speed of processing, subsequent operations of cutting, gluing, and the appearance of the finished product.
In connection with the advent of multicolor printing in our company, we are planning to install the Valmet IQ quality management system, which will help to solve this problem. We will be able to tell you more about its effectiveness and our first results after installation and commissioning of the equipment.
The new system will be installed in the corrugated packaging workshop, where modernization work is underway. The investment is aimed at improving the quality of corrugated board as well as increasing productivity.
The Valmet IQ System is specially designed for corrugators and includes the Valmet IQ Multipoint Moisture Measurement System with IQ Wet-End Control Intelligent Wet Control, IQ Moisturizer, Valmet IQ Converting Scanners, Valmet IQ Warp Measurement with Intelligent control system for the dry part IQ Dry-End Control.
“We are glad that Kiev KBM chose Valmet IQ to improve the quality of corrugated board and increase the productivity of the enterprise,” says Mikko Talonen, business manager for automation at Valmet.
– It’s nice to see that we can help in the development of such a large enterprise. Our experience and the results of previous Valmet IQ installations on corrugators played a large role in this decision.
The delivery of the system is planned by the end of September 2020.
