The purchase of equipment for the new plant has been fully completed. About 3.5 thousand trucks with equipment are expected, of which more than 1.25 thousand – for a cardboard machine. The total cost of the project is $ 1.2 billion.
– “The new plant is a unique project, which has no analogues in Russia, and only a few in the world,” Ksenia Sosnina, General Director of the holding, quotes Ilim Group’s press release.
– The production process is built according to the most modern technologies, taking into account international environmental requirements. The main equipment from Andritz and Voith was custom-made.
I am sure that Ust-Ilimsk Pulp and Paper Mill will become the pride of our group, strengthen long-term partnership with Chinese customers and become the next step on the path of strategic development.
The first 100 trucks have already arrived at the site with assemblies and parts for the brewhouse, the vacuum evaporator and the woodworking workshop. Delivery of the first containers with KDM equipment is expected in October.
Ust-Ilimskaya Voith XcelLine with a mesh width of 10,300 mm and a capacity of 600 thousand tons per year will become one of the most powerful machines for the production of kraftliner (clean cellulose cardboard) in the world.
The new soda recovery equipment (Andritz) is less polluting and allows for the treatment of foul-smelling gases from pulp production.
The main buildings and structures are under construction. The company has invested in the construction of a new concrete plant and a crushing and screening complex that provide the construction site with concrete.
Completion of the Pulp and Cardboard Mill project in Ust-Ilimsk is planned for 2022.
The new investment project of Ilim Group includes the construction and launch of a wood processing plant, an evaporator plant, a causticization and lime regeneration workshop, the construction of a lime regeneration furnace, KDM, the launch of softwood and hardwood pulping lines, the installation of a recovery boiler and bark boilers, and the construction of a warehouse.
As a result of the investment project, Ilim Group will become one of the world’s largest producers of unbleached packaging materials with a total output of 1.5 million tons of cardboard per year. The total production volume of marketable products by the holding will exceed 4.4 million tons per year.
